Pursuant to Chapter 775, Texas Health and Safety Code, consider the "PETITION FOR CREATION OF EMERGENCY SERVICES DISTRICT" regarding the proposed Lubbock County Emergency Services District No. 1; whether to grant or deny said petition; and should said petition be granted, order an election to confirm the district's creation and authorize the imposition of a tax not to exceed the rate allowed by Section 48-e, Article III, Texas Constitution.
